We had a great weekend in Dallas.
- Friday, both kids took naps on the ride there. We stopped at Gram's work to see her and she took us to eat at Celebration, which is an awesome restaurant. We dropped by the cousins to watch little Michael dance to the Wii game. We took Joseph and Benjamin to Gram's house to spend the night.
- Saturday, we drove out to see the Espinosas and their new addition, baby Monica. Ellie loved the baby and was very excited to "hold" her. (I think Ellie told Katy when she saw the first picture of Monica that she wanted a "pink baby".) John and David played with dinosaurs and trucks, picking up right where they left off, as good friends do. We got to eat at Herrera's (MMM - neon green margaritas) with the cousins and Sammy and Clare spent the night at Gram's with us.
- Sunday after church, we tackled a few things Gram needed us to do around the house, and then we went to see Gracie's softball game. Before we left, Gram treated us to Chips. (I'd say it's a really awesome trip to Dallas when we get the trifecta - Celebration, Herrera's, AND Chips!)
John:
- Still loves dinosaurs and Transformers, but he's now added sharks and snakes to his list of interests!
- Watched Star Wars for the first time on his fourth birthday!
Ellie:
- Picking up words every day. It's really neat to hear her as she learns new things and talks with John.
- Me: Ellie, would you like more eggs? Ellie: No tank ou, Daddy. Ah-ee (Ellie) tummy full.
- Favorite books - Go, Dogs, Go, Biscuit
Also in the pictures, our front flower bed. Katy planted some zucchini plants. Boy, have they grown!
