Ice Cream Cones and Dinosaurs

Hope everyone is doing well!

What's new:
  • Katy's been hard at work teaching and editing.
  • The kids now have memberships to the children's museum in Bryan. Right now it seems to be a better place to take them than the library. Ellie ends up tearing pages when she tries to read books.
  • My folks have taken the kids out to their house a couple of times now. (No overnight visits yet.) It's been really nice for Katy and I to be able to catch up on stuff around the house. We end up missing them when they are away, though.
  • Congrats to some of our friends for their new arrivals - babies Sarah Jessica Wagner, Henry Malinovsky, Benjamin Moses, Chloe Vavra, (there's a couple more I need to add here). May God bless these little bundles!
Ellie:
  • Can run!
  • Slept all the way through last night!
  • Some new words - star, moon, more, beans
  • Favorite book - The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle
  • Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown is her bedtime book.
  • Knows parts of the body - hair, nose, ear, feet, etc.
John:
  • Has a giant tub of new dinosaur toys - thanks to Granny!
  • Favorite books - dinosaur books, again.
  • Likes to play "Doctor" with Pop Pop. This usually ends with scotch tape ("band-aids") all over Pop Pop's head.
  • John loves to retell stories. Especially stories that he hears from Pop Pop.
  • Helps set the table for dinner.
  • Is learning his letters - a new one each week.
  • "Last night I prayed that the Dallas Cowboys would play good and not so sloppy"
  • (While talking with Katy about his cousins dog Ginger) "Maybe we can give our baby to somebody else and get a dog."
