Explorer Ellie

I'm sneaking a post in right quick. Katy wants me to give up the computer for Lent!

Here are some current pictures of E, along with a few pictures from Aunt Beth's wedding. For the whole lot of them, go here.

Ellie:

• Ellie has really been working on her crawling skills. She is super fast when she really wants to get somewhere.
• Is starting to pull herself up against tables/couches/beds and can cruise around them a little.
• Loves me to help her walk around. She's really gained a lot of balance.
  
• Unlike her brother, when he was her age, she puts everything in her mouth. She tries to eat anything she picks up. She likes to be outside, but all she wants to do is eat leaves.

John:

• Is into dinosaurs and Transformers. I'll have to tell him about the Dinobots!
  
• Calls Ellie an Ankylosaurus (a short squatty dinosaur that walked on four legs).
• I can get him to eat food that he doesn't want to eat by telling him to eat it like a Tyrannosaurus.
  
• Has memorized a Transformers book and corrects us if we mess up reading it to him. He does it with other books too, but this one he's got down.
• Loves the new play kitchen that Gram gave him.
• Helped me fix up a little bicycle that we found. He likes to get the tools out and fix things. He's grown to like my tools more than his play tools. I always warn him that some of my tools are dangerous. He's learned to say: "I need one of Daddy's tools that is not really dangerous." He usually ends up with a tape measure or a tire pressure gauge, but those are getting boring. So now and then he needs a ratchet or a screwdriver.
